Purchasing Products

MyDisguise is where you browse, compare and buy Disguise software. You choose a product, pick monthly or yearly billing, and pay by card or by invoice. Everything you buy is then managed from Subscriptions & Licenses.

  • Designer Server is the license on a Disguise media server, and comes with the server rather than being bought on its own. Your account manager or the sales team can help.

Browse and compare software products

Open Browse Products from the left-hand menu, or select the products tile on your dashboard.

The page lists the available products so you can compare them side by side. Switch between Monthly and Yearly to see how the price changes, and the prices update as you change the configuration of a product.

Yearly billing is discounted against monthly.

Choose a product and a plan

A plan is a product at a particular billing cycle, so Designer Pro monthly and Designer Pro yearly are two plans of the same product. This is why a cart cannot mix billing cycles.

  1. Choose your product.
  2. Choose Select Plan to add it to your cart.
  3. Set QTY, the number of units you want. Each unit becomes one license.
  4. Choose Monthly or Yearly billing.

You can add more than one product before going to checkout, as long as they share a billing cycle. A cart cannot hold monthly and yearly products together, so buying one of each takes two purchases.

Review your cart

Your cart is still editable, so nothing is fixed until you pay. You can:

  • Add or remove products.
  • Change the quantity of each product.
  • Switch the whole cart between monthly and yearly billing.
  • Enter a promo code, if you have one.

Choose how to pay

Assuming you are within the card payment limit, you can pay by card or request an invoice. Above that limit, invoice is the only route open to you, and checkout tells you where the limit sits.

Your choice also affects when your license arrives, because a license is issued once payment is processed:

  • Card payments are handled by Stripe and go through almost immediately, so your license is available straight away.
  • Invoices are raised at checkout, and your license appears once payment is received and processed. There is no limit on what you can pay by invoice.

For a purchase above the card limit, request an invoice at checkout or contact sales.

Find your invoice

Where your invoice lives depends on how you paid. An Owner or an Admin can get at them.

  • Paid by card. MyDisguise gives you a link in the subscription’s side panel, which opens the invoice on Stripe. Online renewals each generate their own invoice.
  • Paid by invoice. It is emailed to you rather than held in MyDisguise.

Confirm your details and place the order

  1. Confirm your billing information. If your address is saved on the Organisation Profile, it is filled in for you.
  2. Review your order.
  3. Give the subscription a name. This is optional, and it is worth doing if you buy for specific tours, studios or projects, because it is what you will recognise the subscription by later.
  4. Choose whether the subscription auto-renews.
  5. Continue to payment.

Paying by card takes you to Stripe to enter your payment details, then returns you to MyDisguise with the purchase confirmed.

Your new products appear on the Subscriptions & Licenses page, where you assign licenses and seats to the people who need them.

Buying for someone else

You do not have to buy a subscription for yourself. An Owner or Admin can buy a new subscription, or add a license or seat to an existing one, then assign it to any member of the Organisation. See Managing Licenses.

Promotion codes and gifted licenses

These are two different things.

A promotion code is a code you are given to use yourself. Paste it into the Add Promotion Code field at checkout.

A gifted license is one somebody else has bought for you, and there is nothing to redeem. You are notified when a license has been gifted to you, and it appears automatically in your Organisation, on the Subscriptions & Licenses page.
